Dear Friends in Christ,
The closing hymn at our worship on September 4 was "Blest Be the Tie That Binds." It was a very fitting hymn, not just because of the gospel reading that day, but also because of the start of our ministry together. The words of the second verse are particularly fitting for this time of transition and newness:
Before our Father's throne
We pour our ardent prayers;
Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one,
Our comforts and our tears.
